On August 10 & 11, Shelton House will hold its 6th Annual “Blue Ridge Heritage Weekend Arts & Crafts Festival” on the 8.5 acre 147 year old farmstead ( now home to the Historic Shelton House and “Museum of NC Handicrafts”) in Waynesville, NC. Open to the public with Artists and Artisans from near and far, food vendors, and Appalachian Music on the porch of the 1875 home. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and settle on the front lawn for one OR two days of fun and entertainment.
The Shelton House has a 44 year history as “The Museum of North Carolina Handicrafts” with spectacular artists and artisans from across North Carolina and is listed as a stop on the “Blue Ridge Craft Trail” and on the “Appalachian Mural Trail”. The Blue Ridge Heritage Festival is a free event open to the public but donations are always appreciated.
