|The Museums in Partnership (MIP), a non-profit organization of 92 museums located in twenty-five counties in WNC, has selected the Museum of North Carolina Handicrafts in the historic Shelton House in Waynesville for its first MIP meeting of 2018 on Monday, April 9.
The program will feature Mr. Wilson Sims, of Sims and Steele Consulting in Asheville, to discuss board development for non-profits. His presentation will focus on working with your Board to reposition your organization for the most mission driven impact. Other topics include: Recognizing “where you are” in the life-cycle of a non-profit; How to make ‘repositioning’ energizing and cost effective; The unintended benefits of taking time to think and discuss strategically. Museum representatives from the 25 counties will share their own experiences and challenges, reinforcing the discussion topic.
