Sponsor a Tree for the Shelton House Tinsel Trail – December 6 – January 2
2020 has been a difficult year for all of us but, Shelton House hopes to end the 2020 Season with some safe, but joyous Holiday Events.
Shelton House is still planning to hold its outside Christmas Event this year, “An Appalachian Christmas” and the opening of the month-long “Tinsel Trail” on Sunday, December 6 from 5pm to 7pm. Holiday music will ring out including a live performance from the “Carolina Silverbells” who will perform on the Shelton House front porch. Santa will also be present but, because of Covid – 19, will be masked and greeting children outside. Children are welcome to hand him a letter with a list of the things they would like for Christmas but there will be no lap sitting for photo opportunities. Santa is very upset about this, but since he, and Mrs. Claus are over 300 years old, they have to be very careful with their social distancing. The Tinsel Trail will be lit at 5pm for all to enjoy the beautiful trees and decorations which will be spaced around the lawn and, the trees will remain lit every evening through
January 2, 2021.
